Miss the character you used to get from older iPhone photos? Bring a second old phone on trips just for the camera? Tried an ‘old iPhone look’ app, only to be disappointed because it looked nothing like the real thing? iY2K was built differently. We bought a range of real older iPhone models and directly compared thousands of shots. This is not a filter made by guessing at the mood. We studied the noise, bloom, color and sharpness that gave each camera its character, then carefully rebuilt…

What's new
Version 2.0.4 · 25 Sep 2026 · 14 days ago
• Selfie colors were re-tuned side by side with selfies from real classic iPhones. Skin that turned yellow or purple under indoor lights now looks natural, just like on an old iPhone. • Fixed selfies looking wide-angle. The default selfie view now matches the classic iPhone front camera. • Live Photos are here. Turn them on or off with the button at the top in Photo mode — the motion gets the same look as the still. • The viewfinder now matches the saved photo more closely. • Removed a checkerboard-like grain pattern that appeared with some cameras. • If a dark band or line appears along a photo's edge, the app now retakes or cleans it up automatically. • Photos are now saved even if you leave the app or get a call right after shooting. • Fixed the selfie viewfinder briefly flipping upside down. • Faster, more responsive app overall.
