We have been making ice cream since 2015, and we still are. IceForm Pro is where we balance our own mixes, and where a recipe becomes a tech card, a label, a batch on the floor and a price you can defend. Before it we worked in spreadsheets, then in calculators that were always missing something. Once that cost us a whole batch. Every mistake we made since has left a limit or a warning somewhere in this app. BALANCING A recipe is a balance of fat, sugars, solids, water, sweetness and freezing

What's new
Version 3.0.1 · 20 Sep 2026 · 18 days ago
This is the release where the app stops at nothing until the recipe has a price on it. The day on the floor Production opens on Today: what is in progress, what to make, what is in the way, what was made. A batch now runs as a shift, with timers, readings and a checklist, and it survives quitting the app. Equipment knows what each machine holds, and a stocktake is a document rather than a typed correction. A recipe becomes products Pints, pans, cups, bars: a pack format is described once and reused across every flavour. Releasing a batch asks what it was filled into, creates finished lots with their cost frozen onto them, and draws the packaging off the shelf. The display case is a grid with the colour of what needs pulling, the cold store a list with the space you have left, and a lot that has to come off sale is followed down to the slot it is standing in. Sales without a till: say what is left at closing and the app works out what went. What it costs, and what it earns Three rungs, and the app works out which one your figures reach instead of letting you declare it. A batch freezes its cost in layers the day it is made, so November's cream cannot rewrite what October cost. Cost per litre, kilogram, scoop and piece on the real denominators, with overrun as a lever in the recipe editor and the price of that decision beside it. Price and margin by channel with the commission taken off first, both margin and mark-up printed side by side, break-even in portions a day, and the assortment split into stars, workhorses, puzzles and ballast against the medians of your own case. Eight reports, exported as a real spreadsheet your accountant can open. Inclusions, sorted out A chocolate chip is a role on a recipe line now, not a flag on the ingredient, so the same chocolate can go into the mix in one recipe and into the tub in another. Infusions that are strained out no longer have to pretend to be something else. Who moves it The analysis panel is a set of pages with a bar that names them, instead of a row you swiped blind. The table always said what the fat is and never said who put it there: tap a figure and it opens on the ingredients behind it, largest first, each with what it contributes and its share. Energy is a ring, the nutrition table lines its digits up, and every page of the panel now reads the same way. Also in this release Fixes in the label editor, a clearer subscription screen, and new chapters in the guide. Fixed in 3.0.1 A recipe line now keeps the role you gave it: something folded in after the freezer no longer falls back to the ingredient's own setting the next time the recipe is opened. Duplicating a recipe, or saving one as a new recipe, brings the tech card and the label along with it.
