Heat and cold: only routes worth the drive - During extreme heat or cold, Storm Recon now only suggests a destination that is at least 15°F cooler (or warmer) than where you are. A few degrees isn't worth a two-hour drive. - Each heat or cold route now shows the relief you'd get, for example "18°F cooler". - When nowhere in range is enough better, the app says so plainly. If it can't reach the forecasts to check, it tells you that instead of guessing. - Route explanations no longer describe a heat destination as "clear of the heat" when the heat covers the whole area. Clearer radar - Faint radar returns that aren't rain, like the rings of insect and dust echoes around radar sites on a dry afternoon, are no longer drawn. A sunny day now looks sunny. Real storms draw as before. Fewer false alarms on the coast - Surf and marine products, such as High Surf and Gale Warnings, are now treated as advisories. They describe conditions on the water, so they no longer bring up evacuation routes.
