Seafarer Tax Deduction helps UK seafarers track time spent outside the UK to qualify for the Seafarers' Earnings Deduction (SED) under HMRC HS205. Working out whether you meet the "50% rule" across a long qualifying period is fiddly and easy to get wrong. This app does the counting for you — logging your voyages, tracking your days in and out of the UK, and showing at a glance whether you're still qualifying. KEY FEATURES • Live qualifying tracker — see your days outside the UK, UK days used…

What's new
Version 1.5 · 26 Aug 2026 · 1 month ago
• Added app PIN login. • Added first-use PIN setup during onboarding. • PIN setup now happens after the startup tutorial pages, before location and notification setup. • Added Face ID / Touch ID / Optic ID unlock support. • Added Security settings to set, change, remove, enable, or disable the app lock. • Stored PIN as a salted hash, not plain text. • Added Face ID permission text. • Added missing location permission text. • Improved location onboarding for Always Allow. • Location setup now tries to open the app’s Location settings screen directly, with fallbacks. • Notifications remain after tutorial completion, so they do not appear before PIN/location setup. Validation: • Xcode build passes. • Live diagnostics intermittently failed from Xcode’s source editor service, but full builds are clean.
