Choose your dishes and when you want to eat, and Larder works out what to start and when, including how to share one oven. Roasting a whole turkey? Enter its weight and the cooking time is worked out for you, based on the Food Standards Agency's guide. Mark dishes to make ahead, and add every ingredient to your shopping list in one tap. Christmas: 15 new recipes, from turkey with sage butter and a nut roast to mince pies, Christmas puddings and Boxing Day leftovers. Three new Christmas guides cover roasting a turkey, defrosting one safely and what to make ahead. Kitchen library: a new section in Profile with 45 cooking guides on the science behind everyday cooking, what's in season each month, ingredient swaps, conversions and a glossary. Cooking Mode links steps to the guide that explains them, and marks the meal as cooked when you finish. Planning: your plan is always ready to edit, with no unlocking needed. Tap Undo to reverse a swap or removal. Plan opens on today, and the Build and Update buttons stay at the bottom of Your week. Ask Larder now lives inside Genie. Recipes and shopping: a new In season filter. Over 300 recipes rewritten with complete methods, and snacks include safety tips for young children. Portion sizes corrected on more than 500 recipes written for larger households, so amounts, shopping totals and costs are more accurate. Nutrition recalculated from the ingredients on over 800 recipes. Improved allergen and vegetarian labels, including sulphites, gluten in soy sauce and vegetarian alternatives to Parmesan. Side dishes are never suggested as a meal on their own, and Christmas recipes appear automatically only in December. Batch cook costs show the true price per portion. Clearer buttons: 'Add to larder' and 'Add to this week'. Make Larder yours: switch off anything you don't use in App Settings, under Choose features.
